CEBU CITY – Unvaccinated individuals can now enter the province of Bohol, one of the prime tourist destinations in Central Visayas.

Bohol Gov. Aris Aumentado on Wednesday, Sept. 21, issued an Executive Order (EO) lifting the requirement to present Covid-19 vaccination card or certificate of vaccination for asymptomatic inbound travelers.

Aumentado said that relaxing the entry protocol to Bohol is one way of stimulating the local economy and start the march to economic recovery.

“With the ongoing mass vaccination program of the national government and local government units (LGUs), it has been observed that the number of Covid-19 cases is no longer as high as it was at the start of the pandemic and certain provinces no longer require the presentation of vaccination cards or certificate of vaccination for inbound travelers,” Aumentado said.

In EO No. 32, Aumentado said inbound travelers exhibiting symptoms shall be required to present their vaccination cards but will still be allowed entry.

“Inbound travelers exhibiting symptoms who could not present a vaccination card shall be advised to seek medical intervention and required to disclose his/her personal details and point of destination for possible contact-tracing,” Aumentado said.

With the lifting of the requirement to present vaccination cards, the governor called on the LGUs in Bohol to intensify their vaccination drives.
