Muntinlupa LGU administers booster shots to employees under ‘PinasLakas’ program


Employees of the Muntinlupa City government received their booster shots on Sept. 7 under the Department of Health’s “Sa Booster Pinaslakas” program.

The program aims to increase coverage of booster shots to 50 percent of the total target population and vaccinate 90 percent of senior citizens nationwide before Oct. 8, which marks the first 100 days of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon urged employees to get their vaccines as protection against the severe effects of Covid-19.

The Muntinlupa City Health Office (CHO) has urged residents to get their booster shot. The booster shot administration among city employees will last until Sept. 9.

Based on data from the CHO, as of Sept. 6, 521,901 adults have been fully vaccinated in Muntinlupa or 117.94 percent of the target population of 442,517, equivalent to 80 percent of the total population of 553,146.

There are 183,881 adults who have received their first booster shot or 41.55 percent of the target population. Second booster shot recipients have reached 29,945.

Among 12 to 17 years old in Muntinlupa, 43,419 have been fully vaccinated or 76.85 percent of the total population of 56,499. A total of 5,876 have received their first booster shot.

In addition, 19,470 minors aged five to 11 are fully vaccinated or 28.55 percent of the total population of 68,198.
