Concepcion Durables Inc. (CDI) has petitioned the Tariff Commission to reduce to zero the most favored nation (MFN) duty rates on refrigerators. These imported refrigerators are under AHTN subheading Nos. 8418.10.31, 8418.10.32, 8418.10.39 and 8418.21.10, TC TM No. MFN-2022 refrigerators. Items under AHTN subheading No. 8418 includes refrigerators, freezers and other refrigerating or freezing equipment, electric or other; heat pumps other than air conditioning machines.
The TC said it will conduct an investigation on the petition for tariff modification. Interested parties are requested to submit comments, inputs and or positions on or before Sept. 30, 2022.
