These Danish designer lamps are ready to light Manila up

Louis Poulsen sure knows how to throw a cool party

With a rich history of over a century of design and lighting up the world, Louis Poulsen has proven to withstand many years with its Scandinavian design tradition of prioritizing both form and function. Founded in 1874, the lights manufacturer has worked with many renowned designers such as Poul Henningsen, Verner Panton, Øivind Slaatto, Arne Jacobsen, and Vilhelm Lauritzen to name a few.

A favorite among architects and interior designers, Louis Poulsen is known for delivering hygge and comfort by highlighting ambient and glare-free lamps. These qualities make their lamps cozy and homey, mimicking the warm Scandinavian summers.

Earlier this month, Focus Global Inc. the official distributor of Louis Poulsen, hosted a pop-up cafe at their building in BGC. With a picturesque BGC skyline, mixed with beautiful lamps, the evening was set to be chill one served with crafted coffee and cocktails, delectable pastries, and beats by the house DJ.

Each nook and corner was curated to showcase iconic lamps including the Patera pendant lamp, Panthella table lamps, the PH 3 1⁄2-2 1⁄2 floor lamps, and the eye-catching PH Artichoke pendant lamp. There was also a wall filled with the brand’s heritage pieces, with historical milestones to educate the discerning crowd. Postcard prints shot by Everywhere We Shoot were also on display, interpreting the lamps through the eyes of the photography couple Ryan and Garovs.
