Marcos said this after watching the fourth window of the Fiba World Cup Asian Qualifiers at the Mall of Asia Arena on Monday night.

In his latest vlog post on Saturday evening, September 3, the President was visibly glad about the Philippine team's victory at 84-46 in favor of Gilas Pilipinas.

"Ano pang masasabi ko, eh nanalo tayo? Sorry na lang, Saudi Arabia pero natambakan, eh. Eighteen points (What more can I say when we won? I guess, sorry, Saudi Arabia, but you were stumped by 18 points)," a smiling Marcos said.

"'Pag ka nakapanood ka, tsaka nag-shoot lalo na pag three points, mapapasigaw ka talaga basta't Pilipino ka (When you watch a game and player manages to score, especially if it's a three-pointer, you'll really scream as long as you're a Filipino)," he added.

During the game, Marcos could be seen standing on his feet and cheering for Gilas Pilipinas as they scored against the middle eastern players.

In his vlog, Marcos hailed Filipino athletes as heroes and enjoined the public for their continued support for them.

His latest vlog talked about heroes since the previous week marked the celebration of National Heroes Day.

"Ang ating mga atleta ay tinuturing na mga bayani 'yan (Our athletes are heroes)," the President said.

"Ang kanilang sakripisyo sa pag-ensayo, ang oras na ginugugol nila para mahasa ang kanilang kakayanan, para lang makapagdala ng karangalan sa ating bansa. Kaya suportahan natin silang lahat (They sacrifice to rehearse, they spend to hone their skills to bring honor to our country. That's why we should support them all)," he added.
