Last week, the CHO placed the isolation facility in Barangay Pasonanca under critical level after 70 Covid-19 patients were admitted.

More and more individuals were reported infected with Covid-19, prompting CHO to open the P120-million mega isolation facility.

City Health Officer Dr. Dulce Miravite has requested for security augmentation and other requirements needed for the opening of the mega isolation facility.

There are 376 active Covid-19 cases in the city, based on CHO figures.

Cases started to surge at the onset of August when 18 to 63 cases were reported daily.

Miravite appealed to residents to comply with minimum health standards to prevent the further spread of Covid-19 in the communities.
