Caloocan gov't provides dental chairs to 15 health centers

The Caloocan City government announced on Thursday, Aug. 18, that it partnered with the Department of Health (DOH) to provide new dental chairs to 15 health centers in the city.

Under DOH’s Health Facilities Enhancement Program (HFEP), the health centers in Amparo, Bagbaguin, Bagong Silang Phase 1 and 9, Bagumbong Dulo, Cielito, Deparo, Barangay 178-B, A. A. Zapa, Barangay 14, Barangay 18, Barrio San Jose, Francisco, Grace Park, and Sampalukan received the chairs to provide better and more comfortable experience to the residents seeking dental services.

“Simula pa lang po ito ng pagpapaunlad natin sa mga pasilidad at kagamitan ng ating health centers. Hangarin natin na unti-unting maisaayos ang bawat heath center sa mga barangay at maparami ang serbisyong kaya nilang maibigay para sa ating mga kababayan (This is just the start of our efforts to improve the facilities and equipment of our health centers. Let's aim to gradually organize each heath center in every barangay and increase the services it can provide to our people)," Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo "Along" Malapitan said.

“Nagpapasalamat po tayo sa DOH at sa CHD (City Health Department) sa inyong walang patid na pagtutulungan at pakikipag-ugnayan upang matiyak na maayos ang sistema ng pampublikong kalusugan sa Lungsod ng Caloocan (We thank the DOH and the CHD for their cooperation and coordination to ensure that the public health system in the city of Caloocan is in order),” he added.

The HFEP aims to upgrade health facilities as well as provide training to health professionals to improve the access of people to quality health care in the country, according to the DOH.
