WTFu by MR. FU: JM’s 'panata' in showbiz

JM Yosures

It has been more than a year since JM Yosures won in the fourth season of It’s Showtime’s Tawag ng Tahanan (TNT), and he is definitely counting his blessings. (ay pwede po ba maki-bilang?!)

“I used to think that singing competitions are rigged, na kailangan may connections ka para manalo sa mga contests. TNT changed my perspective dahil simula umpisa grabe itinuro sa aming disiplina sa industriya. They really taught me that hardwork will lead you somewhere. Combine it with authenticity, you’ll create a wonderful connection with the music-loving Pinoys.

Aside from his regular gigs on ABS-CBN, he is also now part of TNT’s panel for aspiring contestants.

The 23-year-old BS Industrial Engineering graduate at the University of the Philippines Diliman, is the new singer of the series Maalaala Mo Kaya’s theme song. (ay, ano sabi ni Ms Dulce?!) “It’s an honor to be the new voice of MMK after several years po.

He is also now busy promoting his single “Panata." "The song 'Panata' is written by me and my idol Kuya Kix Salazar. Our inspiration for 'Panata' is our respective past toxic relationships. (minsan parang may thrill yung may kadena!)

The former overseas Filipino worker admits that being part of the ABS-CBN family puts pressure on him because he gets to work with popular and talented performers. But he takes this as a challenge and inspiration to do give his best shot.

Once you are given an opportunity, grab na agad.
