The Taguig City government launched the “PinasLakas” vaccination drive which aims to increase booster shot coverage.
Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano went to the Tenement Elementary School on Aug. 15 to start the vaccination campaign by the Department of Health, Department of Education and City Health Office.
The focus of this program is the booster vaccination of senior citizens and the youth who will be returning to school),” Cayetano posted on Facebook.
She appealed to parents for their understanding and cooperation about the vaccination drive.
(We encourage them to convince other parents who have concerns about vaccination. Nothing will match the peace of mind and safety of your children),” said Cayetano.
From Aug. 8 to 12, the Taguig City government vaccinated 8,152 individuals. Of the total, 2,766 adults received their first booster shot and 2,342 got their second booster dose.
