Miss Philippine Youth International 2019 Rikki Dela Pena showcased her beauty and elegance in Filipiniana during a photo shoot, in celebration of the 200 years of the historic Paco Park in Manila recently.
Rikki wore stunning gowns created by Daniel Hinricher while make-up was done by Anne Mua.
Organized by Leandre Guevara and Ariel Ladrido, Rikki was invited by the National Parks Development Committee and HALPAA to be part of the historic celebration.
Ariel Labrido, Arbel Miranda, and Christopher Layson of the Photographers and Artists Alliance conducted the photoshoot with the theme “Ang Dalagang Filipina Noon at Sa Makabagong Panahon.”
The photos look back at the fashion trends during the colonial period up to modern times, with the Cementerio General de Dilao, now Paco Park, serving as a backdrop.
Originally, Paco Park was established as a burial ground for victims of the cholera epidemic during the Spanish colonial period.
These days, Paco Park now is a recreational park and is considered a National Cultural Treasure for its great heritage and historical venue for Filipinos. It is also considered one of the popular tourist spots in Metro Manila.
