“Securing a travel insurance has never been more relevant and necessary for travelers in this prevailing environment. With international borders opening up and restrictions relaxing, tourism is expected to pick-up its pace and recover from its slump over the past few years,” the firm said.

It noted that, “Travel insurance provides tourists with protection against financial loss due to medical emergencies and other covered unexpected events, such as cancelled trips and lost baggage incurred during trips.”

The online portal can be accessed at www.bdo.com.ph/bdoinsure/travel where clients can choose among three travel insurance packages (Domestic, International, or International P2.5M).

Once the client chooses the package, fills out personal information required, and makes the payment, BDO Insure will send the official policy and receipt via email.

“We assure Filipino travelers that BDO Insure, as their insurance broker, will be with them every step of the way, from purchasing the travel insurance to claiming its benefits, so they can just focus on their business trip or vacation," said BDO Insure General Manager Ma. Theresa L. Tan.

BDO Insure is an insurance broker licensed and supervised by the Insurance Commission of the Philippines.
