Sotto said his doctor advised him to refrain from walking for two days (from Aug. 14 to Aug. 15).

He added that he will not be able to attend events until Tuesday, Aug. 16.

“Hindi ko na maalala ang bawat injury ko sa dami, pero yung sa tuhod talaga ang malaking problema dahil ang sakit maglakad tapos kulang ang oras ko para magpa therapy/gym (I had so many injuries in my life that I cannot remember all of them. But I do have a big problem with my knees because it hurts when I walk. I also don’t have time for therapy or the gym),” he said in a Facebook post on Sunday, Aug. 14.

“Napaisip nga ako nung International Youth Day nung August 12...33 years old pa lang ako, pang senior citizen na 'tong tuhod ko (During the International Youth Day on Aug. 12, I thought I’m only 33 years old but I have the knees of a senior citizen),” the mayor joked.

“Kailangan alagaan din natin ang ating kalusugan (We need to also take care of our health),” he added.

Next month, Sotto said he will be undergoing a hyaluronic acid (HA)/lubricant treatment, and a strengthening program afterwards.
