Bren Esports picks up first win, keeps TNC winless

Bren Esports finally shook off the rookie jitters and tripped TNC Pro Team ML with a clean 2-0 sweep to pick up its first win in the MPL Philippine Season 10 at the ICite Auditorium in Libis, Quezon City on Sunday, Aug. 14.

The new-look Bren team bounced back from its opening game defeat behind the stellar performance from rookie Kyle “Kyletzy” Sayson who followed up his impressive debut with a 5-0-7 line on the Ling and a 3-0-1 KDA on the Thamuz.

In Game 1, Bren focused on putting up the pressure on the lane of Robee “Yasuwo” Pormocille although he still managed a decent 7-3-0 line on his Karrie pick. Bren though had enough chase potential with its Phoveus and Paquito picks who provided the poke damage during team fights before Kyletzy’s Ling made the finishing touches in the clashes by securing the kills.

Bren’s three-man wipe of TNC at the 14-minute mark proved to be the dagger as four Bren players went for the tower lock to secure the first point of the series, 14-11. Jomari "Jowms" Pingol had a 3-2-6 line on his Phoveus while Vincent "Pandora" Unigo with a 3-1-3 score line on the Paquito.

If those were still not enough, Bren then put up a much cleaner performance in the series clinching win in Game 2.

Kyletzy dictated the jungle control with his Thamuz early in the second game and never looked back from that point as Bren players lorded over TNC’s map to starve it from its resources.

With that ploy, the late game lineup of TNC anchored on the midlane Cecilion and gold lane Karrie never reached theirs potentials as Bren closed out the game in just 16 minutes in a low scoring 6-4 affair. Jowm added a 2-0-2 KDA on the Claude while veteran Angelo "Pheww" Arcangel set up the plays with a 0-0-3 KDA on the Faramis.
