NXPE caught a big fish in the last season’s third placers as Mico “Micophobia” Quitlong, Mariusz “Donut” Tan and the returning James “Jeymz” Gloria took turns in punishing TNT to even their record, 1-1 for a total of four points on the board.

NXPE drew the series first blood as Micophobia went for a back door play using his roaming Natalia after TNC went for a chase on to the retreating NXPE players. Without TNC manning the base, Micophobia went for a tower lock to end Game 1 with a 7-12 tally.

That won’t happen though if not for the efforts of Jeymz and Donut who keyed a four-man wipe of TNC in the first Lord dance to take control of the match.

Donut had a 3-2-1 line on his Beatrix while Micophobia added a 1-3-3 line on the Natalia.

NXPE showed no letup in the second game, following the opening game with a 19-11 triumph to close out the series.

Donut ran wild on the Beatrix pick as he scored a triple kill at the eight-minute mark, paving the way for NXPE to gain the upper hand in the hard-fought contest.

TNC held on with SDzyz securing the second and third Lord to keep his team afloat but the constant pressure from NXPE pushed TNC to uncomfortable spots on the map evident in the deciding clash of the match where a backdoor flank from Jeymz’s Dyrroth sandwiched TNC players resulting to a wipeout.

Donut wound up with a 12-2-5 line while Micophobia added 1-2-11 tally. Jeniel “Yellyhaze” Bata-anon also had his share of the spotlight with a 3-3-12 KDA on the Julian.
