Bazar specifically cited the ‘MKK=K’ or Malasakit, Kapayapaan, Kaayusan = Kaunlaran, a program being implemented by PNP Chief General Rodolfo Azurin, Jr.

Bazar told the region’s police personnel that the ‘MKK=K’ program cannot be achieved unless they do their roles in the community.

Bazar officially assumed his new post after a formal turn-over ceremony graced by General Azurin Jr. himself at the Camp Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet on Saturday morning, August 13.

Bazar said the public has high expectations of the police, hence they cannot afford to fail them.

Bazar also immediately ordered that their response time for police emergency calls be no more than five minutes.

"Buckle up for I intend to hit the ground running," uttered Bazar.

He also called on the police in the region to pursue coordination and relationship with other government agencies for the implementation of the ELCAC (ending local communist armed conflict) program promised by President Marcos Jr.

"It is also one of our programs that I will ask our police to speed up the response to police assistance,” said Bazar in his message.

“We know that Cordillera is a center of tourism and there are frequent calls for police assistance and I would like our police to respond quickly," said Bazar.

"Gone are the days when the only sign of government was the presence of uniformed personnel in remote communities,” said Bazar Jr.

At the same time, Bazar also announced that there will be a reshuffle of the police force in the region.
