P2.5 B worth of shabu discovered in Pangasinan warehouse; Chinese, three Filipinos arrested


POZORRUBIO, Pangasinan – Authorities discovered a warehouse here where 360 kilograms of shabu with an estimated value of P2.5 billion was found inside during a raid that also resulted in the arrest of a Chinese national and three Filipino cohorts in a Blue House in Turquoise St., Sunshine Village, Brgy. Banding on Friday afternoon, August 12.

The Chinese national was identified as Ke Wujia alias James Dagale Galopo, 49, a resident of San Vicente Sur, Agoo, La Union.

His three Filipino cohorts were Johnbert Yagong, 22, a resident of San Agustin Norte, Agoo, La Union; Jenson Rey Yago, 29, of Napaturan, Brgy. Cod Cod, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental; and Ritchell Repuesto, 28, resident of San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.

Investigation Agent V Rechie Q. Camacho, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Pangasinan Provincial Officer, said the arrested suspects were bigtime suppliers of illegal drugs in nearby regions including region 3.

Joint personnel of PDEA Intelligence Service, National Office (led unit), PDEA NCR (National Capital Region), PDEA RO1 (Regional Office 1), PDEA Pangasinan, Team Navy and with the support of Pozorrubio Police, Pangasinan Police Provincial Office, and Regional Intelligence Division carried out the raid.

Camacho told Manila Bulletin that the alleged shabu were in tea bags, with labels written in Chinese words.

The said shabu warehouse is located in a subdivision in Pozorrubio town.

Camacho said the investigation will continue to determine other illegal activities of the suspects.

The raiders also found two cell phones, analog phones, different identification cards, various documents, and boodle money.

Arrested drug personalities together with the confiscated illegal drugs are now under the custody of PDEA for proper disposition.
