LEGAZPI CITY, Albay – Police arrested two suspected drug pushers in a buy-bust operation here Thursday, August 11.
Police Major Malu Calubaquib, Police Regional Office-5 spokesperson, identified the suspects as Erigen Villanueva and Mark Dave Lonsame.
Suspects were arrested by the Albay Police Provincial Office (PPO), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), and PRO-5 in Purok 2, Barangay Bitano at 10:53 a.m.
Seized from them were 550 grams of suspected shabu wrapped in three knot-tied transparent plastic sachets.
Suspects are now under the custody of PDEA Regional Office 5 and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
“This accomplishment is yet another proof of the resolute commitment of PRO-5 and PDEA to end the production and spread of any forms of illicit drugs in the region. It shall likewise continue to pursue evidence-based drug rehabilitation programs and services to help drug users start a new life,” Calubaquib said.
