This week, the truth will set everyone free as Love You Stranger concludes the enthralling story about the legend of a shadow creature called Lilom.
Bannered by real-life Kapuso couple Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos in their first-ever primetime TV series together, the GMA Public Affairs’ miniseries has kept viewers hooked on the plot that merges mystery and romance with folklore and filmmaking.
“It will be more and more exciting. Abangan n’yo na kasi mayroong hindi inaasahang mangyayari sa finale week ng Love You Stranger na kahit ako, personally, nawindang noong nabasa ko yung last week na script. So I’m really excited for the reaction of the viewers,” shared Gabbi, who plays the role of LJ.
Khalil, as Direk Ben, also added that the viewers are bound to get the answers to their questions during the finale week. “Last four days na ng Love You Stranger at naiwan tayo nung Thursday with quite a few questions pa. Abangan nila kung paano mangyayari ang pagtatapos ng Love You Stranger, ang napakalaking finale. Mayroong mangyayari na malaking magbibigay talaga ng pagbabago sa buhay ng lahat ng characters.”
“That’s what I love about this show – very unexpected,” expressed Gil Cuerva who portrays Tristan. “You can tell that with the reaction ng fans. Pati sila nabibigla. For example, yung pag-twist sa character arc ni Tristan. I feel like this is a show with a lot of depth.”
The series has earned praises for its storyline, cinematography, as well as the acting performances of its cast –including Gil's portrayal of his character.
In the finale week culminating this Thursday (Aug. 11), Ben confronts Tristan about his involvement in Coleen's disappearance on the night of the Lilom festival.
Lorraine (Andrea del Rosario), LJ (Gabbi), Ben, Tristan, and Alfie (Tonton Gutierrez) will finally meet over a tense dinner. The characters talk about how Mang Larry was able to conceal his identity as the Lilom who victimizes women. Alfie, later on, found a way to meet Lorraine but didn’t realize that it would be the key for her to remember the truth on the night of her disappearance during the Lilom festival.
Ben will finally confess to Lorraine what he witnessed that night, admitting his guilt of not being able to help her.
Tristan will face a major dilemma. His next actions would be crucial.
Meanwhile, someone from the past will return to aid Ben in his quest to bring the truth behind the Lilom of Sta. Castela.
LJ will once again try to unlock the mystery behind the secret door in the library of the Dela Paz mansion. A tragedy awaits that will endanger the lives of LJ’s loved ones.
Who will make it out alive? Will LJ’s family be reunited? And will she and Ben fulfill their promise to change the ending of their story together?
Love You Stranger also stars Carmi Martin, Lexi Gonzales, Kim De Leon, Maey Bautista, Angelli Sanoy, Alex Medina, Nor Domingo, Ces Quesada, Lui Manansala, Bodjie Pascua, Soliman Cruz, and Dindo Arroyo.
The series is an original concept written by GMA Public Affairs Assistant Vice President Angeli Atienza. The creative team is led by Program Managers JM Cobarrubias and Kristian Julao with Executive Producer Jacel Ann Chiu, Supervising Producer Sharon Rose Masula, and writers Clarissa Navarro and Jessie Villabrille.
