MB Daily News Update: Metro Manila’s Covid-19 growth rate down to 5%

The Covid-19 growth rate in Metro Manila on Aug. 9 has gone down to five percent from 14 percent a week ago, and this could be an indication that the infection rate in the National Capital Region (NCR) may be approaching its peak, according to the OCTA Research Group.

The Department of Health (DOH) also said that the dengue situation may also be peaking, and that the number of infections could start to go down soon.

More than 40 bills have lapsed in law in the first month of the Marcos administration, according to Malacañang.

This, as the Palace also announced the appointment of entertainer Arnell Ignacio as the new head of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).
