ZAMBOANGA CITY — Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) was adjudged Best City Police Office nationwide during the 121st Police Service Anniversary celebration on Monday, August 8, at the PNP Multi-purpose Center at Camp Crame Quezon City.
P/Col. Alexander Lorenzo, Zamboanga City Police Director, personally received the award from President Bongbong Marcos in the presence of DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos and PNP Director General Rodolfo Azurin.
“Very proud po ako as a city director to serve Zamboanga and work with Zamboanga in keeping the city safe,” said Lorenzo during a telephone interview.
Lorenzo attributed the ZCPO victory to a concerted effort by the police, the local government of Zamboanga and other stakeholders in the community to accomplish security-related goals.
He cited the presence and help of a strong advisory council composed of various stakeholders from the religious, education, media, and business sectors in assisting the police.
The city director also believes the police office’s best practices and accomplishments achieved together with the Armed Forces’ Joint Task Force Zamboanga and other force multipliers contributed to the win.
Lorenzo thanked the members and personnel of the Zamboanga City Police Office for their efforts and help in clinching the award.
He vowed to continue the excellent service and best practices of Zamboanga’s Finest to serve the community.
