Philippine Italian Association and Lyceum of the Philippines University in Cavite sign agreement on inclusion of Italian in curriculum

At the recent contract signing between Philippine Italian Association and the Lyceum of the Philippines University in Cavite, the delegation was composed of Philippine Italian Association (PIA) vice president for operations Tillie Pelagallo, Philippine Italian Association (PIA) general manager Alessandro Milani, PIA president Zenaida R. Tantoco, and and Italian Embassy official representative Elisabetta Valentini.

The representatives went to the Lyceum of the Philippines University in Dasmariñas, Cavite to sign a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with LPU Cavite to include Italian among the foreign language courses in the curriculum.

Signing the MOA with the PIA was Lyceum of the Philippines University of Cavite and Manila president Roberto Laurel and VP for finance Sallie Laurel Lopez, together with the officers of the LPU Cavite.

The university president elucidated on the importance of this collaboration to teach Italian on campus, “I responded after, with a promise, to give our best efforts for a long and successful implementation of this memorandum of agreement,” he said.

The signing of the agreement followed.

After the ceremonies, a tour of the university campus was given to the PIA delegation, who were later taken to lunch by the Laurel family at the nearby Bayleaf hotel.
