K-pop boy band Super Junior arrives in Manila for concert 


K-pop boy band Super Junior arrived in Manila on Aug. 5, a day before their concert. 

The idol group arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 past 10 p.m.

Super Junior will be holding their “Super Show 9: Road in Manila” concert on Aug. 6 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. 

In 2019, they held their “Super Show 8: Infinite Time” in Manila on Dec. 19 at the same venue. 

For the Aug. 6 show, Super Junior will be performing without member Siwon, who tested positive for Covid-19 on Aug. 3

The members who will perform at the Manila concert are  Leeteuk, Yesung, Shindong, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Ryeowook and Kyuhyun.

In a statement last Aug. 3, Dream Maker Entertainment and Pulp Live World said, “After Super Junior's Super Show 9: Road In Bangkok tour, they conducted a PCR test in accordance to the government guidelines.”

“Unfortunately, Siwon tested positive in PCR test. We are deeply sorry to inform you that SIWON cannot participate for Super Junior World Tour Super Show9: Road In Manila, which is scheduled to happen on August 6 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.”

“Except for Siwon - Leeteuk, Yesung, Shindong, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Ryeowook, Kyuhyun will participate in the concert as scheduled. We ask for your kind understanding and wish Siwon a well and speedy recovery,” they said.
