Say hello to your new Harley Quinn! Actress and singer Lady Gaga has officially confirmed that she will be joining the upcoming sequel of the 2019 film "Joker."

The singer posted on her Instagram account a short teaser of the film, together with her name and Joaquin Phoenix. Back in June, director Todd Philips posted a photo of what is said to be the title of the sequel and Phoenix reading the script.

Together with his co-writer Scott Silvers, the two of them thought of bringing Lady Gaga into Arthur Fleck's life. Details on the character are still in the works, but Joker is known for his on-off abusive relationship with Harley Quinn, his psychiatrist at the mental institution known as Arkham Asylum who falls in love with him and becomes his sidekick and partner in crime.

"Joker: Folie à Deux" is also set to be on the musical side. A different scene will be shown in the sequel unlike in the first film which shows a dark and moody character piece.

Warner Bros. will release “Joker: Folie à Deux” in theaters Oct. 4, 2024. Watch the musical teaser in Gaga’s social media post below.
