Las Piñas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar donated 72 refrigerators and 83 swivel chairs to the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) for distribution to the city’s Child Development Center or Daycare Centers on Thursday, Aug. 4, as part of the preparations for the coming school year.
She said education is part of her administration’s list of priorities under “Tuloy ang Tapat at Progresibong Serbisyo” for teachers and students.
The mayor said the donation of refrigerators and swivel chairs is meant to provide comfort to the children enrolled at the day care centers as well as their teachers.
Vice-Mayor April Aguilar, who turned over the refrigerators and swivel chairs, expressed hope that the donations will help teachers provide even better services to their students.
The city government came out with an advisory on August 2 that the 104 day care centers in the city are now accepting for enrollment infants and toddlers, and pre-Kinder 1 and 2.
Residents who want to enroll their children in the day care centers are advised to bring a copy of the child’s birth certificate and health record.
