Named assistant secretaries are Jose Arturo Reyes Malvar and Majken Anika Sotoya Gran-Ong.

Andres, Sy and Cadiz replaced former Undersecretaries Adrian Ferdinand S. Sugay, Emmeline Y. Aglipay-Villar (who resigned before the May 9 elections), and Jon Paulo V. Salvahan, respectively, while Malvar took over the post of former Assistant Secretary Cheryl Leoncio Daytec-Yangot.

Both Marco and Ong held their posts since the previous administration. Ty has also been an assistant secretary.

“Yes, we received these official appointments yesterday (August 2) afternoon,” confirmed lawyer Jose Dominic Clavano of the DOJ’s Office of the Secretary on Wednesday, August 3.
