BLACKPINK unveils ‘Born Pink’ comeback project


K-pop girl group BLACKPINK revealed their comeback project consisting of three events in August, September and October.

On July 31, a trailer of BLACKPINK’s “Born Pink” project was posted on YouTube, detailing the girl group’s schedule.

Based on the schedule, BLACKPINK will drop a pre-release single in August.

In September, they will release their second studio album, one year and 11 months after releasing “The Album” in October 2020.

In October, BLACKPINK will embark on their world tour.

According to Korean media, two music videos will be unveiled.

“In addition to the schedule released, a number of special steps have been prepared to match the status of BLACKPINK as a world's top artist. The members are determined to repay the love from global fans,” said YG Entertainment, Korean media reported.

Earlier, YG Entertainment said BLACKPINK members were in the midst of filming their music video with the highest production cost.

“We prepared a number of songs that’s full of BLACKPINK’s characteristics, and they’ve been working on it really hard. Along with the comeback, BLACKPINK will also go on a world tour of the largest scale as a K-POP girl group until the end of the year, to expand interaction with fans from all around the world. We’ll continuously carry out large-scale projects that can live up to their status,” the agency said, according to the YG blog.
