Presidential son and Ilocos Norte 1st district Rep. Sandro Marcos is very much aware of this dynamic; in fact, he took to his Facebook on Saturday night, July 30 to put a spotlight on some local measures that he intends to pursue in the ongoing 19th Congress.

"Filed more bills but this time focused on my beloved province. Here’s to hoping that these will aid in the development of Ilocos Norte for the years to come! Agbiag (Cheers)!" wrote the senior deputy majority leader.

Marcos's parochial bills are as follows:

House Bill (HB) No.1044 or an Act upgrading the Bangui district hospital in Barangay Abaca, municipality of Bangui in the province into a level 2 hospital, and appropriating funds therefor;

HB No.1612 or an Act rectifying the composition and technical description of Barangays Kalaw, Cabaritan, and Quibel in the municipality of Dumalneg, province of Ilocos Norte, and their adjoining local government units, amending for the purpose Republic Act No. 10955, , an Act dividing Barangay Dumalneg in the province of Ilocos Norte into three (3) district and independent barangays to be known as Barangay Kalaw, Cabaritan, and Quibel; and

A "pending bill", or an Act dividing Barangay Adams in the municipality of Adams, province of Ilocos Norte into three distinct and independent barangays to be known as Barangay Bucarot, Barangay Malasin, and Barangay Adan.

Marcos had previously filed 10 bills of national importance, with House Speaker Martin Romualdez serving as co-author in some of them.

An estimated 2,000 measures have already been filed by the 300-plus House members in the fledgling 19th Congress.
