MB Daily News Update: PH reports 1st case of monkeypox


The Department of Health (DOH) reported that monkeypox has been detected in the country, even as Malacañang assured the public that the health system was capable of handling the viral disease.

The death toll in the magnitude-7 earthquake that struck Northern Luzon and the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) has increased to six. Meanwhile, relief operations continued for the victims of the tremblor.

The father of the gunman in the Ateneo shooting of a former Basilan mayor, her aide, and a security guard was gunned down in front of their home in Lamitan City.
