PH's active Covid-19 cases rise to 25K

The nation's total number of active Covid-19 cases has already increased to over 25,000 on Saturday, July 23.

Based on the DOH Covid-19 tracker, there are 25,743 people who are still sick with the viral disease nationwide.

Another 3,604 new cases were recorded on Saturday. This was the second straight day that the Philippines saw 3,000 cases in its daily count.

The country's cumulative tally of cases is at 3,748,979.

Metro Manila logged 11,624 new cases in the past 14 days, followed by Calabarzon with 7,104, Central Luzon with 3,272, Western Visayas with 2,397, and Central Visayas with 1,257.

There were also 2,325 more patients who have recovered from Covid-19, while 14 more deaths were reported.

The country’s recovery tally increased to 3,662,566, while the death toll is at 60,670.
