Five drug traders arrested, P2.1-M worth of shabu seized in separate buy-bust operations


CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Police arrested five suspected drug peddlers and seized from them more than P1.7 million worth of shabu in separate anti-illegal drug operations in Nueva Ecija on Friday afternoon, July 22.

Around 2:50 p.m., joint operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 3 in Nueva Ecija and Cabanatuan City Police conducted a buy-bust operation at Brgy. Mayapyap Sur, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija that resulted in the arrest of three drug personalities.

Police identified the suspects as Yohan Nagum Rufino, 44, listed as high value individual (HVI); Archielo Gustilo Ilag, 33; and Genber Lorenz Natividad Francisco, 32.

Confiscated evidence from the trio were three knot-tied transparent plastic sachets and three pieces of heat-sealed plastic sachets, all containing shabu weighing 253 grams with an estimated value of P1,720,400.

The raiders also found genuine P1000 bill marked-money and two bundles of P1,000 bill boodle-money.

A couple of hours later, a follow-up buy-bust operation was launched at Brgy. Tramo, Sta. Rosa, Nueva Ecija that resulted in the arrest of two drug peddlers, namely Danilo Velasquez Obispo, 44, listed as high value individual; and Lyndon Canlas Flores, 35.

Nine heat-sealed plastic sachets containing 60 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P455,600 were seized.
