Cops, youths Zumba to raise funds for Banaue flood victims


POLICEMEN and youths dance in the Zumba for a cause for Banaue, Ifugao flood victims.

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – A youth organization supported by the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15 of the Police Regional Office-Cordillera held a Zumba for a cause for families affected by the recent mudslides and flashfloods in Banaue, Ifugao.

Dubbed as “Oplan" Sagip Kapamilya," the two-hour Zumba was held at the Multipurpose Gym of Camp Major Bado Dangwa in La Trinidad, Benguet on July 19.

The activity raised P9,000 from the 94 personnel of PROCOR who participated.

Proceeds of the fund-raising activity will be turned over to three families who lost their homes in Banaue, that of Jason Pinkihan, William Tucdaan, and Arthur Dirige.

The activity ended with a call for donations from the Youth Mobile Force Cordillera in partnership with RMFB 15, Sangguniang Kabataan of Ifugao, and Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo-Ifugao Chapter for affected families in Banaue.

All collected monetary donations will be used to purchase housing materials for the affected families.
