6 junkies in pot session arrested in Camarines Norte


CAMP OLA, Albay – Six drug suspects were arrested while having a pot session in a house in Purok 7, Barangay Luklukan Sur, Jose Panganiban, Camarines Norte Tuesday, July 12.

Police Major Malu Calubaquib, Police Regional Office (PRO)-5 spokesperson, identified the suspects as Raymond Ibis, 22; and Zaldy Jamito, 31, both residents of Barangay Capacuan; Joseph Dasco, 27; and Mark Anthony Obar, 23, both from Barangay Sta Rosa Sur; Freddie Rieza, 39, of Barangay Plaridel, and Josue Sales, 48, of Barangay Luklukan Norte, all from Jose Panganiban.

“They were arrested in an anti-drug operation launched by personnel of Jose Panganiban MPS with the help of the barangay officials of said barangay who informed the police with regards the illicit activity of the mentioned individuals,” Calubaquib said.

Seized from the suspects were three plastic sachets with a white residue suspected to be shabu, aluminum foil, and other drug paraphernalia.

Suspects are now in the custody of the Jose Panganiban Municipal Police Station and charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2022 are being readied against them.

Police Brig. Gen. Mario A. Reyes, PRO-5 chief, commended the efforts of the Jose Panganiban MPS in partnership with the public in combating illegal drugs and criminality.

“We are thankful for the partnership that we were able to establish from the public which had aided us in the fulfillment of our mission. We shall continue the fight against illegal drugs and make sure to create a better and brighter future for the Bicolanos,” he said.
