6 drug suspects nabbed, P102K 'shabu' seized in Pangasinan sting


Anti-narcotics authorities arrested six drug suspects, including an alleged drug den maintainer, and recovered P102,000 worth of crystal meth or "shabu" in a buy-bust operation in Dagupan City, Pangasinan on Thursday, July 7.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) identified the suspects as Dennis de Guzman, an alleged drug den maintainer, and his cohorts Jeffrey de Vera, Benedict Operana, Ranillo Fernandez, Jerico Buenaventura and Joy Paras.

The PDEA said that the suspects were collared at 1:20 a.m. in Barangay 4.

More or less 15 grams of shabu were confiscated from the suspects as well as a P1,000 buy-bust money, three motorcycles with keys, assorted illegal drug paraphernalia which included a digital weighing scale and a bundle of used aluminum foil among others.

De Guzman and his cohorts face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The operation was carried out by the PDEA Pangasinan, PDEA Regional Office 1 and Dagupan Community Police Station (CPS).
