Lani Cayetano attended her first flag-raising ceremony as the new mayor of Taguig and graced the first session of the City Council on July 4.
If we offer our works to the Lord, our programs will be sincere and meaningful),” Cayetano posted on her Facebook page.
She reminded city employees that they also have a big responsibility to the public.
(That is why I strictly remind our employees as government workers that they also have a big responsibility to the people. I cannot do my job well if I have no hardworking, responsible and reliable employees of the city government and barangays),” she said.
Susuklian namin ito ng maayos na pamamahala at paglilingkod (To our beloved Taguigeño, you have your trust, hope and dreams of your families. We will give good governance and service in return).”
During the flag-raising ceremony, three new barangay captains took their oath. They were Gemma Espejon of Barangay Upper Bicutan, , Jennifer Quilatan of Barangay Ligid Tipas and Mario Hernandez of Barangay Katuparan.
The three replaced the barangay captains who won as councilors in the May 9 elections.
Cayetano also attended the first session of the new City Council.
“I look forward to seeing more of our constituents benefitting from the City Government’s programs,” she wrote.
