Drugstore, lechon manok store in Quezon robbed

QUEZON – A drugstore and a lechon manok (roasted chicken) store in Lucban and Sariaya, this province, were robbed Saturday, July 2.

Taken from these two business establishments were their daily sales totaling P90,000.

The South Star Drug branch on Mabini St., Lucban was robbed by unidentified suspects. The branch supervisor reported to the local police that she was about to open the drugstore at about 6:55 a.m. when she noticed that the padlock of the rollup door was broken.

She found out that the vault was opened and the sales of P80,000 being kept there was missing. The hard disk of the drugstore’s closed-circuit television camera was removed and believed to be taken by the suspects to hide the crime.

Hours later at 11:20 p.m., the Quezon Police Provincial Office (QPPO) said the Baliwag Lechon Manok on Gen. Luna St., Barangay Poblacion 4, Sariaya was robbed by two men wearing blue hooded jacket and black pants and about 5’9” in height.

The suspects pointed a gun at the store employee and hogtied her before fleeing with P10,000.
