Paras erupted for 23 points off 20 kills to lift the Lady Red Spikers to their second victory against four defeats.

The Lady Cardinals were more aggressive in the offensive lane and at the service line by firing 50 attacks and 10 aces, but Paras and the Lady Red Spikers stepped up in the crunch when needed most.

Marianne Tayag chipped in eight points while Patricia Manalac and Patricia Cenzon combined for 12 points for San Beda, which also leaned on Mapua’s erratic plays to gain the victory.

The Lady Cardinals gave up 35 points on errors.

Mapua slipped to a 3-3 win-loss record to tie with Lyceum despite the efforts of Alyanna Ong and Princess Babiera, who finished with 15 and 13 points.
