On his first day in office on July 1, new Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon issued his first executive order establishing an action center that will handle the granting of assistance to residents.

Biazon signed Executive Order No. 01 “providing for the establishment of Kalingang Munti Action Center, under the Office of the City Mayor, its technical working group, and their respective functions.”

He said the Kalingang Munti Action Center will integrate the services currently provided by the Mayor’s Office, Vice Mayor’s Office, Social Services Department, Community Affairs and Development Office, and the Gender and Development Office.

The Kalinga Center will “centralize and streamline all frontline services of the City Government including, but not limited to, the grant of financial assistance, medical assistance, burial assistance, and other related services to residents and inhabitants who have occasion to ask for the same.”

Biazon mentioned the establishment of the action center in his inaugural address during his oath-taking on June 30.

Besides the Kalingang Munti Action Center, Biazon also signed four other executive orders on his first day in office.

He also held a meeting with city government department heads to set the direction for the next 100 days and challenged them to provide “service with a smile” to Muntinlupeños.

In addition, he asked for their support in realizing his centerpiece program: the 7K Agenda (Katarungan, Karunungan, Kalusugan, Kaunlaran, Kapayapaan/Kaayusan, Kabuhayan, Kalikasan).
