'Dark and trying times:' DLSU-Dasmariñas turns power off for an hour on Marcos inauguration night


CAVITE – De La Salle University-Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) turned off the power on its campus on the evening of Thursday, June 30, following the inauguration of Pres. Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr..

"Tonight at 7:00 p.m., the entire campus is completely dark and silent," a post on the university's Facebook page read.

"Power will be restored at 8 p.m. We look forward to providing a human and Christian education despite dark and trying times."

The post showed St. John Baptist de La Salle’s statue at the campus' rotonda near Gate 1, slightly illuminated amid a dark background.
