Kelley Day on bashers: 'They trust unrealiable chismosa columnists, vs. actual facts'

Former beauty queen-actress Kelley Day is asking netizens to let her "heal in peace."

The 25-year-old is accused of being the third party who caused the split of Carla Abellana and Tom Rodriguez.

On her Instagram story, Kelley shared a screenshot of an online user's comment on her.

It read: "Mahirap talaga maging kabet. Kaya mo yaaan (fire emoji)."

Kelley reacted, "Brainwashed bashers who think they know sh*t but actually have no idea..."

She added, "They trust unreliable chismosa columnists, vs. actual facts."

Kelley considers it "sad" that it's still very much the norm in social media.

She asked, "Hasn't #fakenews trended enough by now?"

"What I'm going thru has no relation to that bs. pls let me heal in peace."

Note the said comment was posted on Kelley's lengthy Instagram post about her experiencing an "accumulation of tough times/events," which "triggered" her.

"Mental illness hit me hard and fast: vasovagal syncope, panic/anxiety attacks, continuous fear/panic/anxiety, adjustment disorder. this all happened within a week," she revealed.

According to Kelley she tried to brave it initially but for the first time in her life, the intensity of anxiety and fear she experienced went beyond her control.

Kelley admitted she was afraid to seek professional help and medication, but with support from family and friends, she eventually did.

"Easier said than done...," she related. "It's scary and traumatic, but I'm grateful now to be on the road to recovery."

She said that once she's much better, she will share more about it in the hopes that it will help others.

"I've thought long and hard about making this post or not, but I felt it was too important to keep to myself - if someone reading this is similarly struggling right now, I hope this message can help," she added.

"Based on my experience I can only strongly advise to seek medical help (psychologist/psychologist), because I think developing the courage to do that, ultimately saved me. it's really damn scary at first. but you WILL get better when you have professional help and support. don't worry about the "stigma". your life is more valuable than that."

Kelley pointed out that she doesn't often post deep or personal stuff publicly. And her latest action is a little out of her comfort zone, but she thinks it's worth the discomfort if the message can help someone.

The Miss Eco International 2020 1st runner-up quickly denied her involvement in the issue.

Later, she revealed how Tom actually reached out to her after she got embroiled in it.
