The Lady Bombers put up a tough defensive wall at the net by posting nine blocks anchored on Riza Rose to hike their win-loss tally to 3-3.

The win tied them with the Lyceum Lady Pirates in the middle standings.

Rose stepped up for JRU with 12 points off five blocks, giving enough reinforcement on skipper Dolly Versoza, who led with 16 kills for 17 points.

Renesa Melgar was also instrumental in JRU’s defense by posting three blocks to finish with 10 points even as Mary May Ruiz fired nine attacks for 10 points.

The Lady Bombers also sizzled on the service line with seven aces – two each from Rose and Jerry Lynn Laurente.

Perpetual fell to 2-4 with Mary Rhose Dapol becoming the lone double-digit scorer with 10 points.
