Kean Cipriano: 'People only hear what they want to hear'

Is this Kean Cipriano's response to his former Callalily bandmate Lem Belaro?

This is the question of many after seeing the vocalist's recent post on Instagram.

It read in full: "Don't waste your time with explanations. People only hear what they want to hear."

Lem, Callalily’s longtime drummer, shared several cryptic posts recently.

Many believe it pertains to Kean's decision to "disengage" from the band.

Kean is keeping the band name deeming it his intellectual property.

Meanwhile, Lem updated fans about them now looking for a new singer.

Prior, in an interview with GMA News Online, Kean’s wife, O/C Records Vice President and actress Chynna Ortaleza, detailed why her husband decided to keep the name.

“Callalily kasi was always under his intellectual property. The brand stays with him,” was how she put it.

“If I look kasi into how it’s being phrased at the moment, siyempre it’s easy to say na, ‘O, he left Callalily.’ But he just left the format of the band. He did disengage with his former bandmates but the name Callalily stays with Kean Cipriano,” she reiterated.
