Agency responds to dating news between GOT7’s Youngjae, singer Lovey

K-pop boy band GOT7 member Youngjae and singer-songwriter Lovey have been swept up in dating rumors.

On June 27, a Korean media outlet reported that Youngjae, 25, and Lovey, who turned 29 today (June 27), have been in a relationship for a year.

The report stated that Youngjae invited Lovey to GOT7’s “Fancon: Homecoming with I GOT7” held last May 21 to 22. She attended the event on May 22.

Youngjae and Lovey also worked together in music. Youngjae and Lovey wrote the lyrics for GOT7’s song “Drive Me to the Moon” under the names Ars and Kim Hye-soo (Lovey’s real name). She posted the cover of the album on her Instagram account and congratulated GOT7 on their comeback.

Before this, Lovey featured Youngjae in her song “Hurry,” a track in her album that was released last December. Youngjae, as Ars, participated in writing the lyrics and composing the song, and added background vocals.

Youngjae released his mini-album “Sugar” last June 21.

As a response, Sublime, Youngjae’s agency, denied the dating rumors.

“We would like to inform you of the official position on the dating rumors of our artist Youngjae,” it said.

It added, “First of all, we would like to say that Youngjae's dating rumors are not true. The two are musical colleagues and are supporting each other's activities as much as they participated in their respective albums.”
