What Glaiza de Castro is most excited about in 'Running Man'

The hit South Korean reality show "Running Man" is finally getting a local version.

And among those excited about it is Kapuso actress Glaiza de Castro, who is quite happy to be tapped as part of the cast along with Mikael Daez, Ruru Madrid, Buboy Villar, Lexi Gonzales, Kokoy de Santos, and Angel Guardian.

During a recent virtual press conference, Glaiza noted how the show is a nice opportunity for her to do something different for a change.

Note the show tasks members and guests to complete various missions and games, which could get wild at times.

Glaiza maintained she and her cast mates are "ready" for any challenges.

"And I think mas maganda nga na hindi namin iniisip yung image namin kasi for the longest time ayun yung concern namin pag ka sa Instagram, sa TV. So I think para rin sa aming mga actors, parang break din siya to not care too much about our image and how we look. So dito talaga ang concern namin is, of course, to enjoy, to do the challenges, to accomplish the mission na ibibigay sa amin and hopefully makabuo ng magandang foundation pagdating sa friendship."

The cast will be flying to South Korea, staying there for two months.

Pero to have an opportunity to work there and to collaborate with the Korean production staff, and hopefully beke nemen ma-meet namin yung original cast ng 'Running Man.'"

"Napakalaking opportunity po and sobrang honored kami na kabilang kami sa mga napiling host dito for 'Running Man Philippines,'" she reiterated.

In terms of her relationship with other members, Glaiza sees the trip as a good way for them to bond.

She noted how it's normal for a group of people to have arguments and misunderstandings.

"Lalo pa sa Korea may language barrier. Iba yung characters ng mga signs so biglang maliligaw ka, di alam ang gagawin," she said.

"Pero I think excited din kami and looking forward kami to whatever happens.

I-accept namin yun kasi ayun yung totoong buhay."

Glaiza pointed out how they're not out there to prove anything.

Kasi the more we think about na kailangan may mapatunayan - e wala naman kaming roles kailangan i-play - I think mag manifest yung tingin namin kailangan namin patunayan sarili namin. Ang intensyon really is enjoy and mag manifest sa mapapanuod ng tao."
