Parañaque City Police stages 'Handog Pasasalamat kay Kuya Edwin Olivarez'

The Parañaque City Police honored on Friday, June 24, outgoing Mayor Edwin Olivarez for his overwhelming support to the police force’s peace and order initiatives in the city.

Col. Maximo Sebastian, city police chief, gave Olivarez a plaque of appreciation during the “Handog Pasasalamat kay Kuya Edwin Olivarez” program held at the Fortunata Village Clubhouse in Barangay San Isidro.

Sebastian said Olivarez’s outstanding leadership has greatly motivated the police to competently carry out programs that help them earn the trust and confidence of the community.

The Parañaque Police Station staff and officers and sub-station commanders performed a special number for the mayor, singing his favorite song “Hangang”.

Olivarez thanked the police for supporting him during his nine-year term as city mayor.

He said there would be no progress and development in the city without peace and order.

The mayor also asked the police to also give their full support to his younger brother, incoming mayor Eric Olivarez.
