Pinay Superhero Darna is all set to fly and conquer primetime television once again! This time, Jane de Leon is giving life to the role of Mars Ravelo's well-loved heroine.
One of the preparations of the Kapamilya Network was the unveiling of the giant Darna mural along the ABS-CBN compound. Jane can't hide her excitement, upon seeing the artwork for the first time.
“Actually super nakakatuwa kasi nakita ko na siya yesterday and hindi ako makapaniwala na finally this is it! Start na po talaga, and magandang message rin ito for everyone’, not just for me, not for Darna, not for the show, but for everybody and anyone. Everyone could be a hero,” Jane said.
The young actress told us that preparations for the role requires 100 percent dedication. Recently, she suffered minor injuries and untoward incidents that led her to the hospital.
“Preparation for actions actually yung mga stunt team namin is from Australia. We don’t want naman na masyadong mag expect ang ating mga Kapamilya, ating mga netizens pero hangga’t maaari, binibigay talaga namin ang best namin para maging maganda ‘yung ginagawa namin. About accidents, ilang beses na po ako na-aaksidente. Sa totoo lang po talaga na-ospital na rin po ako and dumating sa point na kailangan na rin po ako bigyan ng shot ng anti-tetanus. And ‘yung mga bagay na ganun, hindi po siya talaga maiiwasan sa action e, pero kahit ganun po, you just need to rest lang and laban lang ulit, ganun lang po talaga siya” said the Kapamilya star.
All the efforts were worth, it according to Jane, especially when she finally fitted Darna's costume.
“Actually super naging emotional ako noong unang beses ko suotin ang costume from how many years na naghintay mga almost two years siguro ‘yun and now ma experience ko na talaga ang pagiging Darna. More on exercise talaga dapat, kailangan well maintained balance diet kailangan ganun.” Jane revealed.
As the premiere of “Darna” approaches, Jane can't describe the excitement and pressure she feels in her heart. “Pressured po, normal naman po siguro na ma pressure. Pero dapat stay positive lang and stay to people who can help you to be a better person."
