Hitman wanted for murder collared in Batangas


CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – Police arrested Wednesday, June 22, an alleged hired killer in Barangay Mataas na Lupa, Lipa City, Batangas.

Police Brig. Gen. Antonio Yarra, Police Regional Office 4-A director, identified the suspect as Alvin Buenavista, 25, of Tiaong, Quezon.

Buenavista was a member of the Antonio Camo Gun-for-Hire Group which operates in Lipa City and nearby municipalities.

The suspect has standing warrants of arrest for murder and frustrated murder issued by Judge Wilfredo P. Castillo, presiding judge of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 85, Lipa City.

Buenaventura along with three unnamed cohorts allegedly stabbed and injured Ronaldo Mendoza and Engracio Mendoza, 69, on April 8, 2018, in Barangay Pinagkawitan, Lipa City.
