Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso and PLM president Emmanuel Leyco signed the deed of donation for the old building of Ospital ng Maynila during the school’s 55th foundation anniversary on Monday, June 20.

The new facility will also be used for the Colleges of Nursing, Physical Therapy, and Science.

The Manila mayor said the new campus will allow PLM to accommodate more students in the future.

“Sa pagdagdag ng bagong pasilidad ng PLM, maaari na tayong tumanggap ng mas maraming estudyante sa iba’t ibang kurso dahil may espasyo na tayong nakabakante sa PLM main campus in Intramuros (With the addition of the new PLM facility, we can now accommodate more students in various courses as we already have more space available at the PLM main campus in Intramuros),” Domagoso said in a Twitter post.

“Ang hakbang na ito ay paghahanda na rin sa mabilis na paglobo ng populasyon at dumaraming estudyante sa lungsod (This step is also in preparation for the rapid growth in student population in the city),” he added.

Domagoso had committed to turnover the Ospital ng Maynila to PLM in August last year.

The Bagong Ospital ng Maynila is set to be inaugurated on Friday, June 24.
