CDA pays tribute to outgoing DTI secretary


The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) held a tribute for the outgoing Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary, Ramon M. Lopez, on June 14 at the Marco Polo Ortigas Manila in Pasig City.

With the theme, "Pagbubunyi Para Kay Sec. Mon," CDA presented an audio-visual presentation which highlighted their accomplishments under the term of President Duterte.

According to a news article posted by CDA on their website, CDA Chairman Joseph B. Encabo, on behalf of the CDA, expressed gratitude towards Lopez for supporting their programs in uplifting the cooperatives in the Philippines.

Lopez said that he was thankful to the CDA chairman and the CDA Board of Directors members for the "notable partnerships and undertakings that made people happy."

CDA is an agency attached to DTI for policy and program coordination.

He added that the CDA family manifested, "competency, integrity, and energy" throughout their service.

“You can be happy, strive to be happy but it’s a different thing if you make others happier through your work," said Lopez in his final speech.

The event was attended by officials and personnel from DTI, CDA, and the Department of Agriculture. (Luisa Cabato)
