San Juan LGU urges residents to register to PESO Skills Registry; Launches livelihood trainings for residents

The San Juan City local government on Tuesday, June 14, urged its residents to register in the city's Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Skills Registry as part of its efforts to help them recover from the adverse economic effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In his Facebook post, San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora said that San Juaneño workers who are looking for jobs may register in San Juan's PESO Skills Registry using the link https://peso.sanjuancity.gov.ph/peso/apply. This will make business owners and companies efficiently hire San Juaneños who are possessing the required skills for their businesses.

The initiative also aims to give applicants the city government's recommendation as part of its San Juaneños First Policy.

The schedule of the PESO Skills Registry registration can be found in Zamora's official Facebook page.

The city government also launched several free livelihood seminars to arm residents with the essential skills and knowledge in dress-making, electronic product assembly, and food safety, which they can use in applying for work.

The registration procedure, requirements, and other necessary details can also be found in the mayor's official Facebook page.
