RRQ Philippines overcame tough opposition in the play-in to claim one of the four remaining spots in the VCT APAC Stage 2 Challengers group stage set to kick off on Wednesday, June 15.

RRQ PH finished second in Group B of the play-in with a 2-1 record to advance to the main draw of the tournament.
The VCT Challengers PH third placer opened the play-in round with a 2-0 sweep of Team Big Baam of Vietnam but suffered a tough 2-1 loss against Bleed Esports in the winner’s showdown. The Filipino bets then showed nerves of steel and dismantled Ghetto Artist, 2-0, to punch the group stage ticket.
RRQ is now grouped with Alter Ego from Indonesia, Xerxia from Thailand and Global Esports from India in Group B while fellow PH representatives Oasis Gaming and Team Secret are in Groups C and D respectively.
Oasis will be the first Filipino team to see action in the group stage when it takes on Australian team ORDER at 4 p.m.
